The 1984 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 54th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928.
Galway entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten in the All-Ireland semi-final.
Limerick won the championship following a 2-5 to 2-4 defeat of Kilkenny in a replay of the All-Ireland final. This was their third All-Ireland title and their first in 26 championship seasons.
