Aethes tesserana is a moth of the Tortricidae family. It is found in most of Europe, the Near East[2] and northern Iran.[3]

The wingspan is 12–18 mm. Adults are on wing from May to August.[4]

The larvae feed on the roots of Picris and Hierracium species.
