Almbornia is a genus of lichenised ascomycetes in the large family Parmeliaceae. It is a genus of only two currently accepted species. Both Almbornia lichens have a subfruticose growth form, and are characterised by a densely agglutinated, proso–plectenchymatous medulla.[1]
The genus is so far only known from South Africa.
