Alfonso Reyes Cabanas (born September 19, 1971) is a retired Spanish professional basketball player, who finished his career playing for Leche Río Breogán. His younger brother, Felipe, is also a professional basketball player.
Professional career
Reyes was the MVP of the Spanish Cup's 2000 tournament. He announced his retirement from playing professional basketball in May 2007.[1]
Spanish national team
Reyes played with the senior Spanish national basketball team at the following tournaments: the 1995 EuroBasket, the EuroBasket 1997, the 1998 FIBA World Championship, the EuroBasket 1999, the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics,[2] the EuroBasket 2001, the 2002 FIBA World Championship, and the EuroBasket 2003.
With Spain, he won a silver medal at the EuroBasket 1999, a bronze medal at the EuroBasket 2001, and a silver medal at the EuroBasket 2003.[3]
Post playing career
Nowadays, Reyes works as a civil engineer.[4]
