Amphisbaena mitchelli is a worm lizard species in the genus Amphisbaena. The species is endemic to South America.
Etymology
The specific name, mitchelli, is in honor of British zoologist Peter Chalmers Mitchell.[2]
Geographic range
A. mitchelli is found in Brazil, in the states of Maranhão and Pará.[1]
