The Ayacucho thistletail (Asthenes ayacuchensis) is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It is endemic to northern Ayacucho, Peru.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.
