The Roadster (motorcycle) has several similarly constructed sister models like the travel bikes R 1150 RS and the travel - Tourer R 1150 RT with largely identical engine, but other body and chassis design. The tank of the R 1150 R holds 20.4 liters of premium petrol. The suspension was realized by a front Telelever and rear via a Paralever.
General
The 'R 1150 R' broke with the model 2000 of the BMW R 1100 R. The motorcycle is equipped with an optional antilock braking system. The acquisition price was approximately € 9,700.
With the Model 2006, the R 1150 R was replaced by the R 1200 R.
