Cryptobatrachus boulengeri (common name: Boulenger's backpack frog) is a species of frog in the Hemiphractidae family. It is endemic to Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in northern Colombia.[2] The name honours George Albert Boulenger, an eminent herpetologist.[3]
Cryptobatrachus boulengeri is found on rocks within fast-flowing streams in montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss caused by agriculture, logging, and infrastructure development. Deforestation around streams is a particular threat.[1]
