The drug combination hydrocodone/ibuprofen (INNs, trade name Vicoprofen) is an analgesic medication used in short-term therapy to relieve severe pain.[1] Hydrocodone is used in form of the bitartrate. This combination avoids some of the liver toxicity which may occur with hydrocodone/paracetamol combinations such as Vicodin, but still presents significant dangers in hydrocodone overdose, namely respiratory depression.
