If I Were Your Woman is a studio album by American recording artist Stephanie Mills, released in 1987 on MCA Records. The album includes R&B hit songs "I Feel Good All Over", "(You're Puttin') A Rush on Me", "Secret Lady", and the title track (a cover of the Gladys Knight & the Pips hit). The singles "I Feel Good All Over" and "(You're Puttin') A Rush on Me" were number-one hits on Billboard R&B Songs.[2]
The album was well received by critics, and became a commercial success, peaking at #30 on Billboard 200 chart and #1 on the Top R&B Albums chart. By the late-1987, If I Were Your Woman was certified platinum by RIAA for selling over 1 million copies in the U.S.[3]
