Justyn Knight (born 19 July 1996) is an Canadian long-distance track and road runner.[1]Knight represents Syracuse in cross country and track. He is the 2016 Men's DI National Cross Country runner-up.

Running career

Youth

Knight was born Vaughan, Ontario and raised in Toronto, where he took up distance running.[2] Knight won 2013 national junior cross country title at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations.

Collegiate

Knight was recruited by Syracuse. At the 2016 NCAA DI Indoor T&F Championships, Knight finished in third place in the 3000 meters final round. At the 2015 NCAA DI Outdoor T&F Championships, Knight placed sixth in the 5000 meters, earning his first All-American honors in track and field in his NCAA collegiate career. Knight placed fourth overall at the 2015 NCAA DI Cross Country Championships and in 2016 was runner-up behind Patrick Tiernan when he earned All-America status in Cross Country.
