K-114 is a short spur of K-18. It begins at an interchange with K-18 six miles (9.7 km) west of Manhattan, goes in and out of the town of Ogden, and ends near an Ogden city limits line, at Honeydew Lane.[1] The road continues west as Riley Avenue in Ogden and Heubner Road in Fort Riley.
Until 2014, the K-18/K-114 intersection was partial, allowing access to west K-114 only from west K-18, and with east K-114 exiting only to east K-18. When this stretch of K-18 was rebuilt into a freeway, a new interchange was built, providing full access between K-18 and K-114.
History
K-114 was commissioned by 1977,[2] on a former K-18 alignment that went through Ogden, Fort Riley and into Junction City. K-18 was routed on a new road that connected to I-70[2]
