Lakshman Pinto Jayatilaka Senewiratne (born 9 March 1957) (known as Lakshman Senewiratne) is a Sri Lankan politician, current State Minister of Science, Technology and Research and a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka representing the Badulla District.[1] and former Cabinet Minister of Sugar Industries, His father Capt. C. P. J. Senewiratne was a MP for Mahiyangana electorate and former Cabinet Minister of Labour in the government of J.R. Jayewardene.[2]
Lakshman Sevewirathne appointed as a member of parliament for Mahiyangana electorate in 1984 and he is representing the Badulla district continuously for thirty two years.
