[1] Lepanto-Bontoc was a sub-province of Mountain Province from the 20th century. The old parts of Lepanto-Bontoc were the municipalities of: Besao, Sagada, Barlig, Sadanga, and the capital of Mountain Province, Bontoc.
History
Lepanto - Bontoc was created as a sub-province of Mountain Province in the first 1910s. The capital was the present - Barangay Bontoc Poblacion. Lepanto-Bontoc was a wealthy province than Mountain Province. The province was closed in the mid-20th century.
