Lophophanes is a small genus of birds in the Paridae family. The genus name is from the Ancient Greek lophos, "crest", and phaino', "to show".[1]
It contains the following species:
- European crested tit (Lophophanes cristatus)
- Grey crested tit (Lophophanes dichrous)
