Mae Chan (Thai: แม่จัน) is a tambon (subdistrict) of Mae Chan District, in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand.[1] In 2013 it had a total population of 10,835 people.[2]

The subdistrict is subdivided into 14 administrative villages (Muban).

As the local government, the subdistrict municipality Mae Chan covers about 2 km² of the most urban parts of the subdistrict along Phahonyothin Road, whereas the subdistrict administrative organization (TAO) Mae Chan covers the remaining area of the subdistrict.
