The Buckthorn-Leaved Kamala,[2] (Mallotus rhamnifolius) is a species of understory, evergreen plant in the Euphorbiaceae family. It is native to Western Ghats of India and Sri Lanka.[3]
Leaves
simple, and opposite to subopposite, decussate; apex acute-acuminate: base rounded, entire; secondary_nerves are 6-paired.[4]
Flowers
Inflorescence - axillary spikes.[5]
Fruits
3-seeded brownish capsule.
In culture
In parts of India, and Sri Lanka,[6] the plant is known by many local names.
