Marco Andreoni (born 12 August 1988) is a Scottish footballer who currently plays for junior club Bathgate Thistle.
Career
Bellshill-born Andreoni turned professional with Dundee United in August 2004 and was listed as a substitute for the first team towards the end of the 2006–07 season, although he did not make a senior appearance. He joined Montrose on loan in 2007, where he scored after twenty minutes of his league debut in a 4–0 victory. He subsequently joined Airdrie United on a month's loan at the beginning of January,[1] although it was subsequently extended until the end of the season.[2] Andreoni played in the four play-off matches as Airdrie were denied promotion after being beaten by Clyde in the final.[3][4]
After failing to make a first-team appearance for Dundee United in the first few months of the following season, Andreoni undertook a third loan spell. He was initially loaned for a month to Albion Rovers in mid-December. This was subsequently extended to a second month. In July 2009, Andreoni joined Peterhead on trial,[5] but returned to Dundee United without a move materialising. In October, Andreoni joined fellow United player Conor Grant on loan at Forfar Athletic.
