Meroctena staintonii is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Lederer in 1863. It is found in Indonesia (Ambon Island, Java, Borneo), Fiji[1][2] and Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland.
The wings are yellow with a broad darker margin. The forewings are outlined with a comma shaped mark near the middle.[3]
