Nik Slavica (born 7 February 1997) is a Croatian professional basketball player, currently playing as a forward for Cibona of the Croatian League.
Playing career
Born in Šibenik, he moved to Zagreb as a 10-year-old to play for Cibona's youth teams[1] and spent one season on loan at Zrinjevac. Following the conclusion of his loan spell, he returned to Cibona and became a regular on the club's men's team, seeing action in the Croatian league, the ABA league and European competition like the FIBA Europe Cup[2] and the Basketball Champions League.[3]
His name was included on a list of early entry candidates for the 2016 NBA draft, but he then withdrew.[4]
International play
He played for the Croatian national team at the 2013 under-16 European Championships, helped the under-18 team win bronze at the 2014 Euro and captured a silver medal with Croatia’s under-19 squad at the 2015 World Championships, while receiving All-World Championships U19 Honorable Mention status by eurobasket.com.[5]
