Nesocharis is a genus of bird in the Estrildidae family. Established by Boyd Alexander in 1903, it contains the following species:[1]
- White-collared oliveback, Nesocharis ansorgei
- Shelley's oliveback, Nesocharis shelleyi
- Grey-headed oliveback, Nesocharis capistrata
The name Nesocharis is a combination of the Greek words nēsos, meaning "island" and kharis, meaning "loveliness".[2]
