Palantepe is a village in Mut district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is in the wide valley of Göksu River in Toros Mountains. At 36°37′N 33°26′E / 36.617°N 33.433°E it has almost merged with Mut only 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) away. Distance to Mersin is 158 kilometres (98 mi). The population of the village was 719[1] as of 2011.
