Pyar Jung Thapa (Nepali: प्यार जङ्ग थापा) was Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Nepalese Army from 10 September 2003 to 9 September 2006 A.D. In 2006 A.D., he had held talk with Girija Prasad Koirala to opt out position of COAS for Rookmangud Katawal. [1] Later, Rookmangud succeeded Thapa.
