Ramanathapuram is a part in Coimbatore city. It lies on the Trichy Road. It is mainly a residential area. It is one of the fast-growing neighbourhoods in the city.
In 2007, it was reported that a foundry in Ramanathapuram was used for making improvised explosive devices.[1]
