Sarıveli is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. At 36°56′N 34°43′E / 36.933°N 34.717°E it is situated in Çukurova (Cilicia of the antiquity). Çukurova Motorway (
) is to the north and Turkish state highway
is to the south of the village. The distance to Tarsus is 20 kilometres (12 mi) and to Mersin is 45 kilometres (28 mi).[1] The population of the village was 418 [2] as of 2012. It is a typical Çukurova village. cotton and fresh vegetables being the main crops.
