The Senate will be the upper house of the Parliament of Ivory Coast.

History

The Senate will be created after an new constitution was aproved by a referendum in 2016.^[1]

Electoral system

Two third of senators will be elected by regions and the remaining third will be appointed by the president-elect.^[2]
