Suriyampalayam is a panchayat town in Erode district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is now included in Erode Municipal Corporation.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Suriyampalayam had a population of 21,893. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Suriyampalayam has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 54%. In Suriyampalayam, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
