Hon. Kwasi Agyemang Gyan-Tutu is the member of parliament for the constituency. He was elected on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and won a majority of 17,403 votes representing 56.05%[2] to become the MP. He defeated New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate Joseph Ofori Amanfo who had 13,035 votes representing 41.98% of the total votes cast. .
