Ben Swanson (born July 18, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the United Soccer League, on loan from Columbus Crew SC, and the United States national under-18 team.
Career
Born in Grove City, Ohio, Swanson is a product of Columbus Crew SC and a student enrolled at Grove City High School. Having first played for Crew SC at the under-9 level, Swanson began practicing with the team full on September 22, 2014. It was announced on October 15, 2014 that Swanson would sign a Homegrown Player contract with Crew SC and later be formally added to the roster on January 1, 2015.[2]
On March 17, 2016, Swanson was loaned to the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, a United Soccer League affiliate club of Columbus Crew SC.[3]
