Zackary Thomas Steffen (born April 2, 1995) is an American soccer player who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Columbus Crew SC in Major League Soccer.

Career

College

Steffen played two years of college soccer at the University of Maryland in 2012 and 2013.[1] He left Maryland to join German side SC Freiburg in December 2014.[2]

Professional

Steffen spent time with SC Freiburg II, later becoming Freiburg's third-choice goalkeeper.[3]

Steffen returned to the United States when he signed with Major League Soccer side Columbus Crew on July 22, 2016.[4] Steffen went on loan to United Soccer League's Pittsburgh Riverhounds in August 2016.[5]
