Písečná (Polish: Pioseczna , Cieszyn Silesian: Pioseczno) is a village in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has 804 inhabitants (2001 census); 26.8% of the population are Poles and 77.8% are Roman Catholics.[1] It lies in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia on the foothills of the Silesian Beskids mountain range. Until 2000 it was administratively part of Jablunkov.
