Shkodër County (Albanian: Qarku i Shkodrës) is one of the 12 counties of Albania. The population at the 2011 census was 215,347, in an area of 3562 km².[1] Its capital is the city Shkodër. It is located in the Northern part of Albania.
Administrative divisions
Until 2000, Shkodër County was subdivided into three districts: Malësi e Madhe, Pukë, and Shkodër. Since the 2015 local government reform, the county consists of the following 5 municipalities: Fushë-Arrëz, Malësi e Madhe, Pukë, Shkodër and Vau i Dejës.[2] Before 2015, it consisted of the following 33 municipalities:
