The 1996 United States presidential election in Alabama took place on November 5, 1996 as part of the 1996 United States presidential election. Voters chose 9 representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.
Alabama was won by Senator Bob Dole (R-KS), with Dole winning 50.12% to 43.16% over President Bill Clinton (D) by a margin of 6.96%.[1] Billionaire businessman Ross Perot (Reform-TX) finished in third with 6.01% of the popular vote.
